Our Story

About

Hi I’m Claire, a Transformational Soul Guide. I am thrilled to introduce myself as the owner of this extraordinary property since Jan 2023, nestled in the idyllic surroundings of the Isle of Avalon. After years of successful operation as a B&B under the names 'Number 27' and 'Apple Tree House', it has undergone a transformation and now serves as a holiday home and retreat venue. I am delighted to open the doors of Tree of Life House to guests seeking a memorable holiday or retreat experience. In addition the house also serves as an occasional Airbnb with rooms to hire and rarely as a self contained 1 bed maisonette. I have poured my heart into creating a warm and inviting space for you to enjoy just as countless guests have done in years gone by. I hope you love it as much as I do :)

It’s a perfect base to enjoy Glastonbury

I’ve holidayed at the Tree of Life House twice with friends, once last year and again this year. It is a perfect location, just a short walk from the town and we’ve made it a ritual to visit the Springs and walk up the Tor on Saturdays, which are both very close.
The house itself is extremely clean and well-appointed with a beautiful open living area and kitchen with all the cooking gear one might need. My personal favourite part is the garden. The tree was in blossom when we visited and was stunning and the fire pit is in the back corner.
There are some awesome shops in town and the whole area has a very spiritual vibe. If you have time (and the inclination), I recommend ‘The Glastonbury Way’ which is a 10km walk through and around the town with lots to see.
All in all it’s a perfect base to enjoy Glastonbury and is highly recommended.

The energy of the place is amazing!

We used this for a group retreat of ten people, it was a spiritual group and the energy of the place is amazing so calm and inviting. Being so close to all the major elements of Glastonbury is such a bonus meaning its a short walk to anywhere, be it the shops or the Tor, which you see as soon come out the front door. The Abbey Gardens are just the other side of the garden fence and this beautiful retreat stands on what would have been part of the Abbey lands. I have stayed in Glastonbury many times and this was by far my best stay.

    We really enjoyed our stay

Each bedroom having an en-suite was a really bonus and having a table with enough chairs for everyone was a big plus. The garden is spacious and well kept and secure for the dog, and the drawer of doggy stuff in the laundry is a nice touch. Very nice property and an easy walk into Glastonbury.

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage!

The location was perfect, with easy access to the town and all the main attractions in Glastonbury. The house itself was lovely and cozy, making our group of 12 people feel right at home. A special highlight was the delightful little treat we found in the fridge – a thoughtful touch that added to our overall enjoyment of the stay. Thank you for making our trip memorable!
