A perfect residential retreat venue

Tree of Life House is the perfect residential retreat venue for those seeking a well appointed, serene and spiritually charged space in the heart of Glastonbury. Being a former traditional B&B house with live in owners, the house is perfectly designed to accommodate retreat holders & their guests offering a tranquil self contained space and garden for up to 12 people, including the retreat holders themselves, accommodated over 5 en-suite bedrooms.

The layout of Tree of Life House is ideal for retreats, with the retreat holders’ accommodation located on the ground floor for added privacy and convenience. The remaining bedrooms are situated upstairs, each with its own en-suite bathroom, ensuring that everyone has their own personal space. Additionally, there is a separate downstairs toilet with direct access to the garden/ outside for further convenience should you have additional attendees joining you for the daytime only. There is ample driveway space, suitable for accommodating a camper van or two.

One of the highlights of the house is the spacious conservatory, which overlooks the ancient apple tree and lies on the path of Michael’s Ley Line. From this peaceful space in winter months, you can also spy Abbey ruins behind the park, believed to be the resting place of King Arthur and Guinevere. The conservatory can be transformed into a beautiful light-filled workshop or circle space by simply moving the sofas aside and opening the doors to the garden to fully appreciate the wildlife, including squrriels and admiral butterflies, that the garden attracts. It creates an atmosphere of tranquility and inspiration, perfect for retreat activities and small group gatherings.

For meal times and shared dining experiences, we offer a separate dining room that comfortably seats 10 people. It provides an intimate setting for nourishing meals and meaningful conversations, fostering a sense of community and togetherness.

The front garden of Tree of Life House features a charming summer house, where you can relax and meditate while overlooking the majestic Glastonbury Tor. This idyllic spot allows you to witness the magical sunrise behind the Tor, creating a serene ambiance for your meditation practice. The summer house is adorned with fairy lights, chimes, rugs, and seat cushions, providing a cozy and inviting space for reflection and connection with nature.

Within a short 10-minute walk, you’ll find the White Springs and Chalice Well, both ideal locations for holding sacred ceremonies and connecting with the spiritual energy of the land. Additionally, the nearby Goddess House offers beautiful workshop and circle spaces, providing a larger supportive environment for your retreat activities should you need it.

To enhance your retreat experience, we would be happy to offer connections to retreat chefs and local caterers who can cater to your dietary requirements and provide delicious meals throughout your stay. We understand the importance of nourishing the body as well as the soul during a retreat, and our recommended chefs will ensure that your meals are prepared with love and care. Alternatively the kitchen is well equipped for catering needs with multiple tea pots/toast racks, individual caffetiers etc – everything you need to hold a fully catered retreat should you wish to.

At Tree of Life House, we strive to create an atmosphere conducive to deep healing, spiritual exploration, and transformative experiences.
